Bernard Place is standing for election as an independent Senator to serve the whole Island. A former senior healthcare leader with decades of public service experience, he understands the importance of accountability, careful planning and long-term thinking. He believes Jersey can meet today’s challenges - from the cost of living to housing and health - through calm leadership, practical reform and decisions grounded in evidence.

Bernard is also a contributor to the Jersey Evening Post, where he has written regularly on public policy, governance and island life. His articles reflect a commitment to open debate, thoughtful reform and respect for differing views. This campaign continues that conversation - inviting Islanders to engage with ideas, ask questions and help shape a confident future for Jersey.
